Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A Playa del Carmen taxi driver that was shot Friday night has died. The unidentified man was stopped at a street side taco shop when, according to witnesses, he was approached by a lone person who shot him in the back then walked away.
The shooting was reported on the corner of Avenida Constituyentes and 105 in Ejidal around midnight. Paramedics transferred the taxi driver to hospital where he reportedly died shortly after being admitted. Police began a search for the shooter, but have not reported an arrest.
