Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A man who was hit while crossing the federal highway in Playa del Carmen has died. The unidentified man was struck by a pickup truck around 2:00 p.m. Saturday while crossing the city’s busy Boulevard.
He was struck by a truck near the intersection of Avenida 28 de Julio, almost directly under the highway pedestrian overpass. He was rushed to hospital by ambulance, but died shortly after arriving.
The now deceased has been identified only as S.V. There has not been any word on charges.
