Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Investigative agents of the Quintana Roo State Attorney General’s Office have taken Héctor “N” into custody. Héctor “N” was arrested Thursday in the streets of the Villamar 1 neighborhood on allegations of extortion.
According to the FGE statement, Héctor “N” was sent to demand money from the victim on behalf of an alleged cartel. “The detainee went to speak, on behalf of an alleged cartel, with the victim to collect a sum of 10,000 pesos per month, threatening to kill her if she did not comply.”
Héctor “N” is currently in the Municipal Retention Center of Playa del Carmen.
