Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — The mayor of Playa del Carmen has signed an agreement with the FGE that saw the installation of an FGE module. On Friday, Mayor Lili Campos, along with FGE (Attorney General of the State of Quintana Roo) head Óscar Montes de Oca, inaugurate the new facility.
The new FGE module is a Tourist Attention centre where visitors can report any crime as well as receive support in the event of lost documents. On social media, Campos reported that the new Tourist Assistance and Protection Center (CAPTA) is located on Av. Juárez between Av. 15 and 20, Colonia Centro and officially opened May 13.
There, she said, “tourists will be able to process complaints for any type of crime or loss of any document.” The facility operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
During the inaguration, Campos thanked the FGE office and other security agencies for the important advancements that have been made to prevent and combat crime.
