Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — One of two men involved in a sidewalk brawl was treated for a stab wound. The unidentified man was knifed in his back upper left thigh by another during a Saturday evening street fight on Colosio Avenue in central Playa del Carmen.
Area residents who witnessed the fight called 911 when they noticed the stabbed man losing a lot of blood. Paramedics responded to the 6:00 p.m. call for medial assistance and found the man bleeding profusely from his stab wound. He was stabalized on site before being transferred to hospital.
Residents detailed to police that the two men, who according to them, had been drinking, began arguing when one took out the knife and stabbed the other then fled.
