Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A couple who were seen removing a bag of pot from a cooler got them arrested. On Friday, the Secretary of Public Security (SSP) of Quintana Roo reported on the arrests of Jorge “N” and Elena “N” for drug dealing.
“The events occurred when security elements were carrying out prevention and surveillance tours between 65 and 70 Avenues South of the Ejidal neighborhood in Solidaridad.”
According to the SSP, police observed two people, a man and a woman, who, among their belongings, had an ice chest. The man removed a transparent bag with the characteristics of marijuana and handed it to the woman to keep it in an orange bag.
The arresting officers proceeded to inspect the cooler and the couple, locating bags of marijuana.
