Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — As a result of a joint operation, municipal authorities seized 192 kilos of illegal fireworks in the Villas del Sol and Colosio neighborhoods. The seized material was transferred to the corresponding facilities for safekeeping and subsequent final disposal.
The operation on December 28 included the participation of Civil Protection, Citizen Security and the Directorate of Commerce, who carried out inspections at designated points to prevent accidents related to the sale and use of fireworks.
Authorities thanked citizens for their support in these actions and stressed the importance of avoiding the use of fireworks to protect the safety of people, their property and pets.
The municipal government of Solidaridad reaffirms its commitment to security and calls on people to report any illegal activity related to fireworks.
