Cancun, Q.R. — Officers in Cancun responded to the Wednesday morning report of a dead woman found off a dirt road. A local resident spotted the body in a clandestine dumping area and called 9-1-1.
According to available information from authorities at the scene, the woman was wearing denim shorts, a blue top, white socks, and red and black sandals and is believed to have been between 25 and 30 years of age.
She was also reported to have had several identifying tattoos.
She was found Wednesday morning on a dirt road in Supermanzana 201 near Chunchucmil Street of the Cuna Maya neighborhood.
Municipal police who responded found the victim lying face down in roadside garbage. Paramedics confirmed her death.
Police secured the scene of the finding while the Investigative Police began their inquiries.
