Paramedics treat knife wound after heated PDC parking lot argument

Playa del Carmen, Q. R. — A parking lot argument between two men quickly escalated and required police and an ambulance. On Sunday, late night shoppers returning to their vehicles phoned police for assistance after an altercation became physical.

Two men in the centrally located parking lot were arguing when tempers flared and one pulled out a knife. Police were sent to the commercial parking lot around 9:30 p.m. in response to a violent assault, however, when they arrived they found a man with a minor wound to his neck.

An ambulance was called but the injured man did not require a hospital transfer. The man who inflicted the neck wound left the scene before police arrived. Authorities did not say what the pair were arguing over.
