Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) reports the arrests of two male people on drug and firearm charges. They are also alleged to have been recruiting on part of a criminal group. On Friday, the FGE reported on the arrests of Saúl “N” and Barú “N”.
The two men were intercepted by agents of the Investigative Police assigned to the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office when they were circulating on Lilis and Constituciónntes Avenues in the In House subdivision in the far west.
According to an FGE statement, “the first investigations indicate that these people belong to a criminal group dedicated to extortion and drug dealing in this municipality.
“Before their arrests, those accused recruited people to sell illegal substances. Saúl “N” and Barú “N”, along with the firearm and seized narcotics, were placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry.”
