Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Luis “C” and Juan “L”, who are alleged to have kidnapped two men, will remain imprisoned during their trial. The pair were ordered to stand trial for the June 30, 2023 Playa del Carmen kidnapping of two men.
In a State Attorney General (FGE) report, they said Luis “C” and Juan “L” are accused of kidnapping the two men and keeping them in a building located in the Luis Donaldo Colosio neighborhood.
According to the FGE report, the men were rescued during the detention of Luis “C” and Juan “L”.
“Upon arriving at the scene, elements of the Investigative Police heard cries for help, so in a first action they managed to arrest a subject named Juan “L”, who was seized with a firearm and a charger.
“The second individual, identified as Luis “C”, although he tried to escape, was also detained, seizing a black backpack inside which were transparent bags with dry and green grass with the characteristics of marijuana.
“In the building, two males were rescued alive, who were tied hand and foot with gray tape.”
The Agency has said the two men, Luis “C” and Juan “L”, are also being investigated for the murder of two other men that were killed, also on June 30, in Playa del Carmen.
