Othón P. Blanco, Q.R. — More than 16 million pesos is being invested into an Othón P. Blanco access road. The project began after citizen requests. Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa announced the investment of more than 16 million pesos for the rehabilitation of the access road to Laguna Guerrero, Ramal – Raudales.
The Secretary of Public Works, Irazú Sarabia, said the road repair was a 12 year old request from residents, a request that had been ignored by previous governments.
“This is the only access road to Laguna Guerrero and with this rehabilitation, we are going to benefit residents, agricultural producers and ranchers as well as tourists who go to Laguna del Manatí,” she explained.
Sarabia said the first stage rehabilitation project will cost just over 16.2 million pesos, money that will come from the Fund for the Strengthening of Federal Entities (FAFEF) 2023.
She explained that more than 21,000 square meters of road will be rehabilitated. The project will also include the construction of a bridge at the entrance to the Laguna Guerrero community so citizens can pass when the area floods due to heavy rains.
