Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — One person died and another was left with injuries after their vehicle crashed into a concrete base. The accident happened Sunday morning while the Peugeto was traveling through the extension of Colossio Avenue.
While on the extension, the driver lost control and slammed, at a high rate of speed, into the concrete base of a city light pole. The impact sent the vehicle careening, which threw the passenger from the vehicle and onto the street.
The male passenger, who is said to have been the brother of the driver, was pronounced on scene. Police and paramedics arrived. Medical emergency serviced confirmed the death of the passenger.
