Cancun, Q.R. — American Airlines will offer a new direct route from Oklahoma City to Cancun this winter. It will be the airport’s first international route. Tickets are already on sale for the new direct flight that will begin November 8, 2025.
Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt said the OKC Will Rogers International Airport will offer the new nonstop service to Cancun through American Airlines as of November 8.
“To finally welcome a nonstop international flight to Oklahoma City for the first time in a generation is a historic moment for us,” Mayor Holt said.
“This milestone is a testament to our city’s renaissance as well as a reflection of our willingness to invest in ourselves. This would not have been possible without the vision of our airport leadership to construct the necessary facilities and their persistence in marketing this opportunity to the carriers. Our gratitude to them, as well as American Airlines,” he said.
OKC Airport Director Jeff Mulder says the new service from the Will Rogers Airport (OKC) to Cancun International (CUN) will be offered every Saturday from November 8, 2025, through April 4, 2026.
“We are excited American Airlines will be offering international flights to Cancun this winter,” Mulder said.
“American Airlines is a great partner and we appreciate their support of OKC and our community. We are nearing completion of our customs facility which will allow this new international service to become a reality. This type of new international nonstop service elevates OKC to a new level and offers our travelers another quality-of-life improvement,” he said.
American Airlines is adding this new service for leisure travelers who like to vacation by the beach during the holidays and winter months.

The new Oklahoma City Will Rogers International Airport nonstop service to the Cancun International Airport will be the Oklahoma City airport’s first international flight.
