Cancun, Q.R. — Sunwing Airlines has announced December routes to Cancun and Mazatlán from British Columbia. As of December 15, Okanagan residents will be able to enjoy direct flights from Kelowna to Cancun.
The airline says they are strengthening connectivity for Okanagan residents this winter season with direct weekly flights to Mexico from the Kelowna International Airport.
“Our customers in the Okanagan region can explore the depths of Mexico this winter with weekly flights to the popular beach destinations of Cancun and Mazatlán aboard Sunwing Airlines,” said Andrew Dawson, Sunwing’s president of tour operations.
The airline will offer weekly flights from Kelowna to Cancun on Thursdays beginning December 15, 2022 through April 13, 2023, and weekly flights to Mazatlán on Fridays beginning December 16, 2022 through April 14, 2023.

Cancun, one of the most popular vacation destinations in the south, continues to be in high demand for its sun, sand and local flavor.
“We are very excited to see Sunwing return to Kelowna International Airport and once again offer Okanagan residents direct flights to sunny destinations like Cancun and Mazatlan,” said Sam Samaddar, Kelowna International Airport Director.
