Cozumel, Q.R. — Norwegian Cruise Line has announced the restart of operations of some of its cruises, which include Mexican Caribbean ports such as Cozumel and Costa Maya (Mahahual). The cruise company is advertising for cruises set to sail in November.
The company is currently taking reservations for cruises that will stop in Cozumel and Mahahual, leaving from Miami. The first of the cruises listed to set sail from Miami to Cozumel and Mahahual is November 21 of this year. Cruises are also scheduled for Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada for November 1 departing from Los Angeles.
The region has not had cruise ship arrivals since March when the outbreak of Covid became a pandemic. So far, Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) maintains the suspension of operations until October 31.
Carnival Corp., Disney Cruise Line, Holland America, Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean International and Norwegian, are among others that dock at Quintana Roo ports.
