Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — The construction of a large park in the limits of the Mayakobá City and the El Petén – La Guadalupana subdivisions will be a reality, says Solidaridad City Council.
The announcement was made Sunday in a press release after representatives of the developing company formalized the delivery of the real estate project to the Solidaridad City Council, headed by Laura Beristain Navarrete.
She reported that the commune received a 10 hectares donation from Ciudad Mayakobá, which will be the building ground for the upcoming Parque Metropolitano.
Councilor Orlando Muñoz Gómez reported that the project has a construction cost of around 1.7 million peso of which the real estate company agreed to cover half.
Parque Metropolitano will include parking lots, ecological trails, bike paths, jogging tracks, yoga, meditation and reading areas, as well as children’s games, a library, water games, barbecue areas, outdoor forum and an lookout tower.
An exclusive sports club with membership and a commercial passage with cultural and artistic activities will also be included.
