New Cancun-Chetumal route with Aeromar inaugurated

Chetumal, Q.R. — On Monday, the new Cancun-Chetumal route was inaugurated. It is planned that the new route will improve air connections between the two cities.

Local dignitaries including Bernardo Cueto Riestra, Secretary of Tourism, the general director of the CPTQ, Darío Flota and the General Coordinator of Communication, Fernando Mora, were among those on site for the arrival of the plane.

“Undoubtedly the south of our state has great destinations that offers a unique tourism product. I am sure that with this new route, more tourists will decide to know, explore and visit the Grand Costa Maya,” Cueto said.

Flota also said a few words. “Congratulations and let’s continue promoting the natural wonders of our state regardless of whether it is north, center or south since all of Quintana Roo is a guarantee of good service and spectacular experiences.”

The new Cancun-Chetumal flights are with Aeromar and will offer flights between the two cities every Monday and Tuesday on an ATR 72-600 aircraft for 72 passengers. Authorities are hoping to increase the flight schedule to three times per week.
