Neighbors report man with loaded shotgun uttering death threats

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — An argument between a group of men ended in the arrest of one after he was reported for uttering death threats while yielding a loaded weapon. An area witness to the argument flagged down a passing police unit in the irregular community of Sauces in Playa del Carmen.

The person requested help and explained that a man involved in the argument showed up with a loaded gun. When police arrived at the location of the altercation, they located one man handling a loaded shotgun.

The man, who refused to put down his weapon, was given a warning shot by police, at which time, the armed man surrendered his gun. Police then proceeded to arrest 27-year-old Jonathan N. His shotgun and two boxes of cartridges were also seized.
