Nearly 120,000 will visit Cozumel on 37 ships this week

Cozumel, Q.R. — Nearly 120,000 cruise ship passengers are expected to visit the island of Cozumel this week. According to the arrivals program published by the Quintana Roo Integral Port Administration (Apiqroo), 119,907 passengers will visit on 37 ships.

The 37 cruise ships will dock the island between February 10 to 16.  Cozumel Mayor José Luis Chacón Méndez, highlighted the privilege of our destination to receive these ships, which reaffirms the leadership of the Cozumel port.

He says it is the result of the excellent quality of service of the tourism workers combined with the effort of the private sector and municipal and state governments to promote the island and offer cultural attractions.

On Monday, seven ships with approximately 18,464 guests arrived. For Tuesday, another seven will arrive with 19,758 tourists.

On Wednesday, six cruise ships will dock the island followed by the arrival of 18,362 passengers on five ships Thursday and another 19,109 passengers on five ships Friday.

Saturday is forecast to be busy with six ships arriving with 17,620 passengers. A slow down will be felt on Sunday with one ship scheduled to dock with 4,345 cruise passengers.
