Othón P. Blanco, Q.R. — Four National Guard members were involved in a highway crash in the municipality of Othón P. Blanco. No one was seriously injured when their patrol unit collided with a semi on the Chetumal-Escárcega federal highway.
The front end of the National Guard truck was heavily damaged.
The accident happened in the town of Francisco Villa Wednesday afternoon. The driver of the pickup truck is alleged to have collided with a semi transporting Maya Train beams.
Emergency services from the city of Chetumal were sent in response to the report of the accident. The four men from inside the unit were not seriously injured.
