Chihuahua — Elements of the National Guard arrested one male suspect after the vehicle in which he was found sleeping was discovered with 380 kilos of marijuana.
The arrest happened when surveying National Guard members came upon a parked van with state of Durango plates along the Chihuahua-Ciudad Juárez federal highway. When they approached the van, they detected the smell of marijuana and saw one man inside the van laying down sleeping.
After a review of the vehicle, they found cardboard boxes concealing 84 packages of varying sizes of marijuana. The driver was arrested and his van and drugs seized for the Federal Public Ministry.
