Mexico City, Mexico — The National Guard secured a shipment of bakery products they found were filled with cocaine. The shipment was discovered at the office of the Venustiano Carranza in Mexico City.
Authorities report the finding in the import-export area of a parcel company during security inspections when an X-ray detected irregularities in a cardboard box. Once inspected, officers found plastic bags containing 16 baked walnut tarts, all of which were filled with a wrapper containing cocaine.
Elements of the National Guard reported the package, which was leaving Mexico City, was bound for Montreal, Canada.
