Narcotics dog sniffs out man seated inside Playa del Carmen ADO station

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A man sitting inside an ADO bus stop in Playa del Carmen was arrested after a narcotics dog alerted his handler to the presence of drugs.

The arrest took place at the 12th Street ADO bus station in Playa del Carmen when police and Kano, the dog, were performing a routine patrol of the area. The narcotics dog, who belongs to the Canine Unit of the Municipal Police of Solidaridad, sniffed out a man who was seated inside the terminal.

Upon review, the man was found carrying a variety of drugs on his person including MDMA or Ecstasy, 2C-B, ketamine and cocaine reportedly worth several thousand pesos.

The subject was taken into police custody and brought before the corresponding authority to respond for the possession of illegal drugs.
