Narcotics dog sniffs out combi passenger carrying brick of cocaine at Playa del Carmen fed filter

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A narcotics dog who sniffed out a brick of cocaine landed one young man in jail. The brick was found in the 18-year-old’s backpack during a routine search at a Playa del Carmen federal highway filter.

Officers from Solidaridad Public Security, along with elements from the National Defense Secretariat, performed the routine search of a public transport combi that was traveling the Tulum-Playa del Carmen stretch of highway.

Using a dog, the young man was marked positive for narcotics. Inside his backpack was a brick of cocaine. Arrested Wednesday night from the public combi was 18-year-old José N from Mexico City.
