Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Solidaridad police were requested at the scene of what is reported to be a hit and run. Municipal officers responded to the report of a body on the highway north of the city early Friday morning.
It was after midnight when motorists reported seeing the body being run over multiple times by passing vehicles. Elements of the National Guard arrived and were able to find identification among the deceased man’s scattered belongings.
Mario Vázquez “A” has been identified as a local hotel employee who was hit by a vehicle several kilometers north of Playa del Carmen on the federal highway.
