Acapulco, Guerrero — Five people were arrested and more than 1,100 kilos of cocaine seized off the coast of Guerrero. On Monday, the Secretary of the Navy said the operation took place in the Mexican Pacific southeast of the Port of Acapulco.
The vessel was located during a routine Navy patrol. The Secretary said Navy personnel were able to see the packages on the small boat from a visual inspection. On board was 34 black packages of cocaine with a total weight of approximately 1,164 kilograms and various containers with approximately 400 liters of fuel.
Five men on board of unknown nationalities were arrested.
