Cancun, Q.R. — Connectivity with the Russian market will be strengthened as of next month with the launch of regular flights to Cancun from Moscow. Armina Wolper, Cancun’s honorary consul of Russia said that due to the high demand, three flights a week are set to begin November 20 with Aeroflot.
Wolper also said that Russia is planning a charter flight from Saint Petersburg to Cancun, however, she did not know start date. What she did know is that it would likely start out as a once-per-week flight.
The new connections would bring an excess of 100,000 Russian tourists to the Mexican Caribbean per year.
