Mexico City, Mexico — President Andrés Manuel López Obrador reported the departure of the Secretary of Energy, Rocío Nahle García, from the Government of Mexico.
On his social networks, he thanked her for her work and support during his administration, while wishing her luck in her next personal and professional projects.
In the publication, the President shared a video of the supervision meeting that he held that day in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, where he recognized the head of the Ministry of Energy, who led the construction of the Olmeca refinery, in Paraíso, Tabasco, in record time.
“We wish her the best because we believe she deserves it. She is an exceptional woman, a good professional, she has principles, she has ideals and she is an honest woman. (…) She has already finished her task, which among other things, included building the Dos Bocas refinery,” he said.
A replacement will be announced. López Obrador did not provide a reason for her sudden departure, which took affect October 13.
