Mexico extradites two men to face outstanding murder charges in U.S. courts

Mexico City, Mexico — Two Mexican nationals wanted in American courtrooms have been extradited to the U.S. On Thursday, both Christian “M” and Jorge “R” were handed over to U.S. federal authorities at the Mexico City International Airport.

According to a statement by the the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic (FGR),  Christian “M” was wanted by the Superior Court of the State of California for the County of Los Angeles for the crime of homicide.

He has been wanted by the California court since January 2008 for shooting a man in the back with a shotgun, killing him. In March of this year, he was located and detained in Naucalpan, State of Mexico.

Jorge “R” was also sent to the U. S. to face murder charges. In their statement, the FGE reported that in 2010, Jorge “R” suffocated a man causing his death. He was arrested in Guadalajara, Jalisco in December 2022. The FGR did not state where in the U. S. Jorge “R” was sent.

Both fugitives were handed over at the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) to designated U.S. agents for their transfer.
