Mexico extradites alleged cartel leader on FBI’s most wanted list

Mexico City, Mexico — One of America’s most wanted has been extradited from Mexico to the United States. Carlos Arturo Q, who goes by the alias El 80, is the alleged leader of La Línea Cartel.

In a statement, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) said “in compliance with the Extradition Treaty signed between Mexico and the United States of America, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) extradited a man of Mexican nationality required by the Federal District Court for the District of New Mexico.”

Carlos Q has been on the FBI’s most wanted list for at least four years. The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) handed him over to U.S. authorities over the weekend where is he wanted in New Mexico on drug trafficking charges.

Carlos Q is alleged responsible for directing, managing and monitoring drug trafficking activities from Chihuahua to New Mexico, the FGR reported in their statement.
