Mexico expresses condolences in human stampede deaths in South Korea

Mexico City, Mexico — President Andrés Manuel López Obrador sent his condolences to the family and friends of the victims of those killed in South Korea. On Saturday night, 149 people were reported killed during a human stampede in the streets of South Korea.

“We embrace the families and friends of those who lost their lives or who were injured by the unfortunate tragedy in South Korea. We also send our most sincere solidarity to the people and government of that country,” he said on social networks.

At least 149 people, mostly young adults, were killed during a Halloween celebration in the streets of Seoul Saturday night after more than 100,000 gathered to celebrate. According to early reports, the crowd became unruly as they surged into an alley.
