Mexican national wanted for sexual abuse in Florida returned to U.S.

Mexico City, Mexico — A man wanted in Florida on sexual abuse charges has been returned to the U.S. On Wednesday, Manuel “R” was escorted by plane back to Florida to face charges that date back more than 10 years.

On Wednesday, the State Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) announced the extradition of Manuel “R”. He was handed over to American federal marshals at the Mexico City International Airport for his return.

In a brief note, the FGR reported that Manuel “R” was wanted for the sexual abuse of three minors that took place between 2005 and 2015. He has been wanted by a Glades. Florida court since then.

“Between 2005 and 2015, Manuel “R” sexually abused three minors under the age of 16,” the FGR said.

The Government of Mexico granted the extradition request to the United States Government after arresting him in Coahuila, in December 2023 and holding him for extradition purposes.
