Mexico City, Mexico — The Government of Mexico has extradited a Mexican man considered a fugitive to Argentine agents. In compliance with the Extradition Treaty signed between Mexico and the Republic of Argentina, the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) extradited a fugitive of Mexican nationality to the city of Buenos Aires.
According to the FGR report, “Alejandro “E” was part of a criminal organization that illegally marketed ephedrine hydrochloride. The substance was introduced from Argentina to Mexican territory in the luggage of the defendant.
“In addition, the extraditable acquired several properties and vehicles in Argentina to hide the profits from his illegal activities.”
Alejandro “E” has been wanted by the National Criminal and Correctional Court No. 1, Secretariat No. 2 of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires for the crimes of illicit association, money laundering of criminal origin and illegal drug trafficking since 2009.
He was finally arrested by Mexican law enforcement in Veracruz in 2020. He was handed over to Argentine agents at Mexico City International Airport (AICM) Thursday to return to that country to face charges.
