Men armed with rifles and crossbow arrested from public PDC street

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Three men armed with a variety of weapons and narcotics have been jailed in Playa del Carmen. Solidaridad Public Security (SSP) officers jailed the trio Saturday morning after arresting them for extortion.

According to the SSP of Solidaridad, the three armed men demanded payment from a business owner in the Ejido area of PDC with threats of death. The victim was able to provide physical descriptions to police which lead them to their location, walking on a public street a few blocks from the store they had threatened.

The men were returned to the shop and positively identified by the victim as those who attempted to extort money from him. During a physical arrest review, police found two rifles, a crossbow and bags of narcotics, for which they were also arrested.

The SSP of Solidaridad reported on the arrests of 22-year-old Juan “N” from Tabasco, 35-year-old Saúl “N” from Veracruz and 21-year-old Jesús “N” from Tijuana.
