Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Mayor Lili Campos has announced the remodeling of Plaza 28 de Julio in central Playa del Carmen. She says the remodeling of the plaza will be a meeting point for families and the scene of large events.
She says the project is part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the creation of the municipality.
During her weekly report, Lili Campos explained that after the remodeling, the plaza will accommodate nearly 32,000 people and will allow families to have an ideal space to enjoy with their children with the inclusion of children’s games.
“It will be an inclusive space to bring pets, to exercise or simply to rest and enjoy various products that can be purchased in the spaces defined for merchants.”
Campos said local businessmen and associations, as well as the Colleges of Architects and Engineers, will participate in the analysis of the project. She said work will likely begin at the end of March and be finished so the plaza can be inaugurated on July 28, the municipality’s 30th anniversary.
