Mayor announces new Cancun City Hall cabinet shuffle

Cancun, Q. R. — Several personnel changes have been made within Cancun City Hall. Mayor Ana Paty Peralta says that City Council has unanimously approved three new appointments.

The newly appointed people will fill the positions of Secretary General, Municipal Trustee, Municipal Treasurer and Director of Revenue.

“I want to recognize them for the great work they have done in the city hall. Changes are always good and I know that they will occupy their new positions with a lot of commitment, responsibly, looking out for the good of the people of Cancun and our beloved city,” she said during the Thirty-third Extraordinary Session.

The city has approved the appointment of Pablo Gutiérrez Fernández as General Secretary of the City Council, replacing Jorge Aguilar Osorio who recently vacated the position to join Governor Mara Lezama.

Miguel Ángel Zenteno Cortés is Cancun’s new Municipal Trustee to replace Pablo Gutiérrez Fernández, and Yuri Salazar Ceballos as Municipal Treasurer, replacing Marcelo José Guzmán.

The newly appointed City Council were sworn in to their new positions Wednesday.
