Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A man was killed Friday night after being the victim of a hit and run. Passing motorists reported seeing the body of the man on the dark highway after he was hit by a truck.
His body remained in a lane where he was reportedly run over by other vehicles before police finally arrived.
Authorities were eventually called in to remove the body from the highway. The accident was reported along the federal roadway south of Playa del Carmen.
