Kantunilkín, Q.R. — A road accident in the town of Kantunilkín, near Holbox, left one man trapped. Firemen were called for assistance after police arrived to find the elderly man’s legs were trapped among the twister metal of his vehicle.
Jesús Alejandro Erosa Betancourt, head of municipal Civil Protection, said the Wednesday night accident was reported along the Valladolid Nuevo-La Esperanz section of highway.
The man apparently collided with a industrial truck. He was eventually freed from the small Tsuru and transferred to Kantunilkín Hospital for medical attention.
