Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Municipal police responded to the report of a dead man on a central Playa del Carmen sidewalk. The man was found on a sidewalk in the city’s central Zazil Ha neighborhood Christmas day.
The report of the body was made to 911 authorities by area residents around 11:00 a.m. The unidentified man is reported to have lived on the streets. There is speculation that he made have died due to exposure after a cold front entered the Yucatan Peninsula the day before. An autopsy will reveal the official cause of death.
