Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A man who refused to be inspected at the Playa del Carmen ferry dock turned out to be carrying 10 kilos of pot.
Before boarding the ferry to Cozumel, the man reportedly became aggressive and refused to pass through the on site security filters. Municipal Tourist Police were called to the site to perform an inspection of his person, which is when he was discovered carrying a suitcase that contained 10 one-kilo wrapped packages of marijuana.
Police say 30-year-old José Misael S.M. from the state of Yucatan was arrested. The substance and the detainee were handed over to the Attorney General’s Office.
