Cancun, Q.R. — As of October 18, Dutch Airline KLM will begin offering a direct Amsterdam to Cancun flight. The seasonal direct flight, which is offered during the winter season, will begin again in October.
Until then, Amsterdam passengers will have to change planes in Mexico City to connect with Cancun. However, as of October 18, Amsterdam passengers can enjoy three direct flights per week into Cancun International.
The airline will offer the three direct flights per week until November when they will increase the route to four per week. The four direct flights into Cancun will be offered every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday until March 25 of 2023.
KLM entered the Mexican Caribbean market in 2021 as part of its restructuring of the intercontinental network to serve sun and sand beach destinations. The company explored Cancun, a city that is also served by its sister airline, Air France, out of Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG).
