Italy extradites Mexican national wanted for business fraud

Mexico City, Mexico — Mexico has received a national wanted in relation to business fraud. Over the weekend, Jesús “M” was returned to Mexico after being extradited from Italy.

Personnel from the State Attorney of the Republic (FGR) met Jesús “M” at the Mexico City International Airport after being extradited from Rome’s Fiumicino International Airport. He is facing charges of breach of trust.

“In compliance with the Extradition Treaty between the Government of Mexico and the Government of the Italian Republic, a fugitive of Mexican nationality was extradited as requested by the judge of the Accusatory Procedural System of Mexico City, for his alleged responsibility for the crime of breach of trust,” the FGR reported.

“In January 2018, Jesús “M” represented two companies before the Institute of Social Security and Services for State Workers (ISSSTE), however, he, along with another person, allegedly used the financial resources paid for the services for personal purposes,” they said.
