Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — Local authorities are investigating possible weekend vandalism at a Puerto Aventuras bank. At least one window of the bank was found shattered by staff Saturday morning.

The damage was reported to the facade of the BBVA (Bancomer) branch located in Puerto Aventuras when bank employees arrived for work Saturday.
Personnel from the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) arrived to investigate determining that the impact believed to have created the shattered glass came from inside the building. The details were noted after some media reported the bank had been shot at.
During an inspection, SSC officers reported an atypical detail, noting the impact and deformation patterns of the glass suggest the damage originated inside to out.
Additional details surrounding the shattered bank window have not been made public.
