Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — The State Attorney General’s Office says they have begun an investigation into the deadly Playa del Carmen shooting that happened Wednesday afternoon.
According to the FGE of Quintana Roo, three men were shot in the Villas del Sol residential area of Playa del Carmen. That shooting left two dead and one injured.
Neighbors reported seeing men on a motorcycle who took aim at the group of three as they stood talking on a street. Local media have reported the discovery of a threat message left behind by criminal gang members, however, the FGE did not confirm the finding of that message, only that police located 75 street doses of narcotics at the scene.
Those responsible for the deadly city drive by shooting fled. Police have not announced the arrests of any suspects.
