Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Civil Protection temporarily suspended a cement company in Playa del Carmen due to irregularities. The suspension happened Thursday at a cement company located in the industrial zone of federal highway.
More than two dozen plant workers were forced to wait outside while inspectors toured the building. A group of inspectors from the Secretary of Civil Protection, Risk Prevention and Firefighters, accompanied by police officers, began their inspection in the morning.
It was around 4:00 p.m. when they finished, placing two suspension stamps across the main gates before leaving. According to the suspension seals, the plant contravened Civil Protection provisions based on laws and regulations, which is why its closure was decreed.
