Othón P. Blanco, Q.R. — The driver of a company pickup was killed in a high speed crash Tuesday. The fatal accident happened near the community of Sabidos when a small pickup truck collided with a parked dump truck.
According to preliminary reports, the driver of the vehicle, identified as 35 year old Eliezer “N”, was allegedly speeding at the time of the impact.
Witnesses reported the crash to emergency services. Reports indicate allegations that the dump truck, which was parked on the side of the road, did not have its warning lights on.
The driver of the industrial truck driver left the scene before police arrived. Local authorities cordoned off the area so personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office and the Forensic Medical Service could remove the body.
Police have started an investigation into the crash to find the driver of the dump truck and determine the corresponding responsibilities.
