Heavily loaded dealers busted on busy Playa del Carmen streets

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Weekend drug busts in Playa del Carmen have reached new heights with loaded dealers. Municipal Police reported arresting several people in various operations who were found with hundreds of bags of hard drugs.

An adult man and a minor were taken into custody from residential Palmas Turquesa with more than 550 packages of cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana. The pair were also found in possession of bullets but no weapon.

On Loros Avenue, elements of the Preventive Police arrested 42-year-old Mario “N” and 17-year-old Andres “N” with 118 packages of marijuana, 332 of cocaine and 102 of methamphetamine.

Two more men were arrested from the Villas del Sol subdivision after Municipal Police found them in possession of more than 460 doses of narcotics that include cocaine, marijuana and methamphetamine.

The men, Alexander “N”, 25 and Nolberto “N”, 28, both from Tabasco, were picked up after patrolling officers saw one of the smoking a joint on the street.

A Yucatan man was also taken into custody over the weekend from the Zazil-Ha neighborhood of central Playa del Carmen. Jesús “N”, 31, was arrested on 42nd Street by elements of the Tourist Police after he was caught storing bags of what police believed to be cocaine, inside the light meter of a home.

An armed man found with LSD, cocaine and marijuana was seized from the In House colony of west Playa del Carmen. Police took 45-year-old Rogelio “N” into custody after locating narcotics, a loaded handgun and ammo.

Patrolling officers also located and seized a red cup that was left on top of an ATM on Fifth Avenue. Inside the cup police found methamphetamine, cocaine and five bullets. The cup and its contents were found by patrolling Tourist Police.
