Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Police spent much of Thursday night collecting evidence from a Fifth Avenue crime scene after a man was shot. The shooting happened on Fifth Avenue between 28th and 30th Streets around 9:30 p.m.
The victim, a male, was shot twice and rushed to the General Hospital in serious condition.
Municipal and Tourist Police were deployed to search for gunmen, however, arrests have not been announced. Troops from the Mexican Army arrived to guard the scene while personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office began collecting evidence.
