Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Police say a group of six people arrested on drug charges had the intention to execute two others. According to their statement, preliminary investigations indicate that the six people are part of a criminal gang made up of hitmen and drug dealers.
Police say Miguel Ángel “N”, Sergio Efrén “N”, Rodolfo “N”, Edith “N”, Heibrajan Andrés “N” and Jessica Alicia “N”, who are part of the same criminal group, were arrested in two separate areas of Playa del Carmen.
Miguel Ángel “N”, Sergio Efrén “N”, Rodolfo “N” and Edith “N”, on Canarios Street in the Villas del Sol subdivision in possession of a variety of narcotics and one loaded firearm. Heibrajan Andrés “N” and Jessica Alicia “N” were arrested on Pavo Real Avenue in the Villas del Sol 1 subdivision.

Their arrests were made in collaboration with the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSyPC) and the National Intelligence Center (CNI). According to authorities, all six were arrested in flagrante delicto for their alleged involvement in drug dealing.
“Preliminary investigations indicate that the six detainees, who are part of a violent criminal group made up of hitmen and drug dealers, were planning to kill two people belonging to a rival criminal gang,” police reported.
